Wabi Sabi Paper class with Judy Wise

I love paper.
I might have mentioned that before.
I love the way it looks, feels, soaks up ink,
changes personality under a brush, tells a story.

That's why I just had to take Judy Wise's
Wabi Sabi paper class at Squam
Several hours of natural printing with found objects, ink squirting and mess-making later, I have a 30 ft roll of homemade wrapping paper and warm memories of a class with one lovely lady...

Do you love paper too, or is it just me?

  1. Oh, I love paper too but I tend to hoard it!! It is so pretty that I have a hard time letting it go. Sometimes when doing craft projects I photocopy it so that I don't have to use the original.....I have a bit of a problem don't I??

BUT why I really stopped by today is to THANK YOU for the lovely card you sent my way. It took some time getting to me, but filled me with happiness upon its arrival. Thanks so much!

  14. Aha - you may go on my Jealousy Map! Is that OK? Because I am jealous that you worked in this lovely warm workshop and took yourself off to Squam. And made lovely paper. That feels tickly, to admit jealousy. But in a good way - lovely light in the photos, and great paper too. I am a Paper Hoarder. Which is okay for a printmaker, I guess. So lovely, the softness of paper, the way it holds light and ink and thoughts. The way it conceals and reveals, depending on use. OK. Yes, I love paper too.
