Have you all finished your postcards? Please get them sent off in the next week if you haven't already. When you receive one in the post, don't forget to share it in the Flickr group.

ReplyDeleteHello! You've been a busy lady - (love that skirt! I'm now looking forward to seeing your Spring collection. In the shops).
ReplyDeleteI'm checking in with a food for thought comment for you from a dinner I was at last night - this from an artist and patron of the arts: "Crafting has to have it's foundations in technique, whereas art can be born out of passion alone." Interesting?
Meanwhile referring to your earlier post - the need for validation I think is proportionally related to the size of emotional investment that you have in a project, in other words just how much it means to you to succeed at it. But when people give you validation it also shows that they care, and that always feels good, especially when it comes from people who we look up to and whose opinions we respect. x
WOW! So happy to celebrate with you your 100 post. That is a fantastic accomplishment! Hope that Elizabeth is me!
ReplyDeleteI will be finishing the postcard tonight! So much fun. I love all these new connections!

ReplyDeleteKathy - food for thought indeed and a discussion that comes up frequently. I am going to think more about it and post again on art vs craft some time in the future. And I think you are so right about the need for validity being related to your emotional investment in something. I always said you were a wise wise womanXx
